That moment, in which we see old tales in new light, is where Near by Far flourishes.  Bolstering their love for Scottish and Irish folk music with spice, creativity and long-nurtured skill, Near by Far reveals hidden undercurrents of well-traveled paths, while creating entirely new ones.  Kristin Coyle, fiddler and violer, brings the band confidence, agility and flair - flying on the aire!  Leah Jorgensen, harper and soprano, produces complex chords and dulcet tones that venture into musical reaches yet unknown.  Marie Parks, celler and alto, puts the "low" in "mellow" and the "high" in the "highlands" (of Appalachia, of course).
