A Message from the General Manager

Dear Texas Renaissance Festival Patron and Partner,

Greetings TRF family! As we navigate these unprecedented times, our hearts and thoughts go out to each of you with hopes that you and your loved ones are well. Although we closed our offices to non-TRF personnel mid-March, and many of our staff are working from home, our team continues to move forward diligently to prepare to open for the 46th season of the Texas Renaissance Festival as scheduled this year.

Rest assured that our top priority is the health and safety of our guests, staff, and partners. We take great pride in the cleanliness of our festival grounds, privies, and food services every year, as well as the steps our vendors take to limit lines and wait times for services. This year we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and are preparing to implement any additional preventative measures and safety protocols recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to help reduce the spread of the virus to our patrons, cast, vendors, and performers alike.

Barring any restrictions driven by local, state or federal agencies, or other health and safety issues arise, we will be prepared to welcome patrons this Fall with exciting new venues, merchants, food, and entertainment.

Please keep up to date with the latest news from the festival by visiting our website at and our social media channels @texrenfest. We are looking forward to welcoming you back to the Kingdom to celebrate our 46th season Oct. 3 - Nov. 29, 2020.

This was the first event in nearly six years where I did not have to raise one finger to help. From the time we walked into the area Maw and Pa greeted us with the delicious food and hospitality. Out of the blue, the cast of characters from Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan descended into our area to liven our group up which we felt was over the top and much appreciated by everyone.

Fun for Kids & Families

The Texas Renaissance Festival is a magical place for family fun and entertainment.

Enchanting Entertainment

Thrill to the charge of knights jousting on their mighty steeds. Fall under the spell of the faery court. Laugh and be amazed at the clowns, jugglers, acrobats, and magicians performing on stages throughout the village or watch with excitement as birds of prey soar through the air.

Lots of neat shops, awesome performances, and good food/drinks. I've been to a few renaissance festivals and I would say this was one of my favorites for sure.

I love coming to the faire with friends, and making new friends. TRF is my second home and my faire family is amazing!

School Days

The Texas Renaissance Festival invites all public, private, and home school educators and students to join us for the 15th Annual School Days, when our faire is open only to teachers and students! Students step back in time as they enter the sights and sounds of New Market Village, an authentic recreation of a 16th century European village. Students will interact with hundreds of costumed characters representing the courts, culture, art, science, and literature of the Renaissance Period.

Nothing: the day was absolutely fantastic. Food was great, the lunch ticket is a great deal, the judges are well-known and kind. Well done!
