Blacksmiths and Grinders
The Dragon Forge Experience is seeking a charismatic metal professional with experience in blacksmithing and moving metal to shape. The perfect fit for this position is someone who is not only capable of bladesmithing and blacksmithing but also skilled at working with large groups of people and teaching all ages and skill levels. Our Smiths work with groups of around 4 during experience driven sessions where the guests take on the role of an apprentice (or occasionally a power hammer) while the Smith steps into the role of the seasoned master. Our patrons expect a good show so the ideal Smith will need to have a big personality and a big passion for metal. Average tips are commonly equal to the hourly rate.

The Dragon Forge Experience is looking for a driven sales associate! This position will fulfill a role at the Texas Renaissance Festival. We are looking for someone who is passionate about art and can convey that passion to customers in a clear and concise manner. Former sales experience preferred. Our experience driven forge caters to people looking to live some of the magic of being a Forged in Fire Champion as well as guests interested in forging handcrafted souvenirs that will last a lifetime. The sales associate is a self-starter who can interact with guests and entertain. They should be outgoing, effective speakers and performers. Each person who comes in the forge should have an opportunity to say yes to crafting a beautiful piece. Cash tips are paid out daily.

We are seeking two characters to add to our coven. This shoppe features handcrafted witchy art, supplies, and accoutrement.
Applicants shall be clever, loyal, serene, focused, joyful, creative, and trustworthy.
Your role will be a helper/apprentice to the mistress of the cottage. You'll stay in character in the presence of patrons and be on the watch for sticky fingers, upsale opportunities, and dust bunnies.

Uplifting Jewelry

We are currently looking for a salesperson at our tent! Workers will wear our hand-made jewelry and invite people to try it themselves. The preferred applicant must have an outgoing personality and be willing to proactively suggest options of jewelry for our patrons, with the overall purpose of providing an outstanding and -most of all personalized customer experience. Although sales experience is a plus (and Having Faire experience an even bigger plus), the most important requirement is the applicant's attitude and willingness to create a fun ambiance where our patrons feel like trying out our designs. Tasks include greeting/approaching visitors, explaining our merchandise, writing sales receipts, attending the vendor's parade, and organizing and cleaning the merchandise & tent when needed.

Must:

-Be available all weekends (including Black Friday) rain or shine, besides a couple of hours before the starting weekend for general orientation

-Be willing to attend TRF University's participant coaching classes (either via Zoom or in person)

-Be willing to attempt to speak in the King's English

-Great attitude


Pay is 15 per hour + 5% commission of the worker's, plus -tentatively- a bonus according to performance at the end of the season.

Enchanted Forest

We operate 30 different Renaissance style games & rides at the Texas Renaissance Festival in Todd Mission Tx for 8 weekends in October and November and the Friday after Thanksgiving. Tomcat Games operates games such as the Giant Maze, Jacob's Ladder, Axe, Star, and Knife Throw, Crossbows, Longbows, and kids games like Catapulting Frogs and Pluck-a-Duck. Also hiring for rides like the King's Swings, the Neptune Swings, Dizzy Dragon, Friar's Frolic, and the Quintaine jousting ride. Our crew is about 100 people of all shapes and sizes who work all in weather, all days, open to close, outside—no short shifts or hourly spots. We have individual games and team games. Mostly physical work. It rains, we get wet and carry on with a smile! We need aggressively friendly people with good attitudes and quick smiles. You must enjoy being outdoors and interacting SAFELY with crowd—we have no food product or merchandise to sell, only selling FUN. Some games are geared towards kids and some more for adults. Renaissance appropriate costumes and dialect required and we do help you build up an outfit and character. We pay Commission based on sales, minimum of $150+ a day but most crew makes well over that. Our crew makes great money out here and have tons of fun and most return year after year.

Ribbons and Rivets is a theatrical design company that specializes in leatherwork and is going to be set up in a tent in spot 638S. We are looking for multiple team members that could (ideally) be with us the whole season. Our team dynamic focuses on bringing a pleasant atmosphere for everyone to partake in and playing dress up with those who want to try things on. Our ideal applicant understands the importance of the overall customer experience, is willing to partake in TRF University/learn King's English, and wants to add to the ambience of the faire overall by joining one of the vendors. Sales experience not required. Tasks will include: greeting/approaching visitors, giving product info, helping patrons try things on, running transactions, maintaining booth cleanliness/organization, attending vendor parade (optional), and having a good time. Pay is 150 a full day (open to close), plus lunch. Bonus according to performance at the end of the season.
