Norðanfólk weaves together a rich musical tapestry of Nordic folk traditions, seamlessly blending driving rhythms, layered vocal harmonies, and an array of traditional instruments— including multiple talharpas, nyckelharpa, and hurdy-gurdy. With vocals exclusively in Norwegian, Icelandic, Karelian, and Old Norse, this Texas-local four-piece performs original works and beloved Nordic folk favorites that stir the blood and connect with the soul. Returning for their third full season at the world-famous Barbarian Inn, Norðanfólk invites festivalgoers to don their finest furs, gather their clans and kin, and raise horns in celebration of the music and culture of the PEOPLE OF THE NORTH!
