About the Jobs

  • Seasonal positions ONLY
  • Festival runs 8 weekends, from October 10th through November 29th (including Friday, November 27th)
  • Mandatory training day in September
  • A dress rehearsal October 3rd
  • Some positions below include hours during the week
  • King's English is required for most positions.
  • Unless stated, TRF does not provide costuming

Site Office Positions

This is an outdoor position that requires extensive walking and standing, regular exposure to heat and weather conditions, and the wearing of a Renaissance-period costume throughout the workday.

Ticket Attendant

This position welcomes patrons in the King’s English while providing friendly and efficient customer service.

Responsibilities include:
  • Selling daily admission tickets
  • Directing guests with ticketing issues to Will Call
  • Ensuring a smooth transaction process.
Any patron concerns, operational issues, or unusual situations should be promptly reported to a supervisor.

Seated indoor position, costume not required.

Floater

The Floater position provides coverage and support wherever needed, ensuring smooth operations during breaks, high-traffic periods, and staffing gaps.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Selling tickets
  • Assisting at kiosks and Will Call
  • Answering phones
  • Helping patrons
  • Directing lines or crowd flow
  • May also assist with restroom and kitchen upkeep as needed
Anyone assigned to this position should be prepared to work in a variety of roles throughout the day.

Indoor & outdoor position.

Program Hawker

This position is a costumed position.

Responsibilities include:
  • Selling the souvenir program and ponchos.
This position is an hourly and commissioned job.

This an outdoor position; must be able to stand for long periods of time in hot, cold and wet conditions. Period appropriate costuming is required.

Info Booth

This position assists patrons by providing directions, answering questions, and helping guests navigate the event.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing general info
  • Wristbanding children to aid in reunification if they become separated from their guardians
  • Managing lost-and-found items

Additional duties include:
  • Directing wedding parties and other groups to their designated locations

Period-appropriate costuming is required.

Beefeaters

Responsibilities include:
  • Greet patrons with enthusiasm
  • Scan and verify tickets (be alert for invalid tickets)
  • Ensure adult and child tickets are used correctly
  • Inspect bags and guests for prohibited items (including weapons, outside food, and beverages)
  • Remaining alert for disorderly behavior
All weapons must be peace-tied and secured according to policy, and patrons should not be allowed to rush the screening process.

Outdoor position, may stand for long periods on time in sun. Costumed position - TRF provides this costuming.

Kiosk Attendant

Responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing self-service ticket kiosks
  • Assisting patrons with credit card transactions
  • Directing crowd flow.

The role is primarily outdoors and may require standing for extended periods, though chairs are available when needed. This is a costumed position that requires regular interaction with guests.

Guest Services

Responsibilities include:
  • Front-desk support by answering phones
  • Greeting patrons
  • Assisting with questions
  • Locating tickets
  • Selling participant tickets.
  • Monitoring restrooms and kitchen areas to ensure supplies are stocked and they stay clean and trash is emptied
Additional duties include:
  • Making coffee
  • Keeping the drink refrigerator stocked.

Wedding Positions

This is an outdoor position that requires extensive walking and standing, regular exposure to heat and weather conditions, and the wearing of a Renaissance-period costume throughout the workday.

Venue Assistant

Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with ceremony and reception setup
  • Guest guidance
  • Venue maintenance
  • Event-day logistics

Dressing Room Assistants

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage dressing room operations
  • Assist wedding parties
  • Maintain cleanliness
  • Ensure a smooth pre-ceremony experience

Reception Assistant

Responsibilities include:
  • Supports reception setup and breakdown
  • Assists guests
  • Helps coordinate reception activities.

Events Assistant/Floater

Responsibilities include:
  • Provides support across all wedding and event operations as needed
    • Includes:
      • Guest assistance
      • Setup
      • Logistics
      • Venue coverage.

Camping Positions

This is an outdoor position that requires extensive walking and standing, regular exposure to heat and weather conditions.

Stewards

While either attending the Front Desk or patrolling the campground, the Stewards are our main eyes and ears.
Every Steward will be cross trained across all other campground positions and will fill in as necessary. At the Front Desk, the Steward will check in reservations and provide all relevant information for the stay, coordinate patron assistance as required, and address any questions or concerns. Stewards will also traverse the campground assisting patrons in need and enforcing campground rules. Stewards will work directly with emergency and security personnel. They will also help with all campground related tasks as directed by the active Front Desk Attendant.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to consistently lift 20-40lbs
  • Must be available Thursday through Monday
Part-time (30-40 hrs/week plus overtime opportunities) $18/hr.

Ticket Booth Attendant

Ticket Booth Attendants will individually run ticket booths.

Responsibilities include:
  • Scan tickets that have already been purchased
  • Sell tickets that haven’t
  • Give general Campground information to each car that comes through their lane
  • Direct patrons with accommodation reservations to the Reservations Office to check in.
Requirements
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, work in all weather conditions, and remain enthusiastic and in character.
Part-time (30-40 hrs/week) $15/hr

Store Clerk

Store Clerks will run the small onsite convenience store.

Responsibilities include:
  • Take inventory
  • Assist patrons as needed
  • Check patrons out when they are ready
  • Ensure the store remains clean and the items remain stocked
  • Oversee making coffee throughout the day as needed

Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and remain enthusiastic and in character
  • Must be available Thursday through Sunday
  • The Store Clerk will be food handler certified and will adhere to all food safety guidelines.

Part-time (25-40 hrs/week) $16/hr

Watchman

The Watchman position is a hands-on position; PPE will be provided.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assist with patron needs as they arrive
  • Ensure accommodations are ready (including placing cots and firepits)
  • Manage bonfires when requested
  • Attend the Exit Booth as needed
  • Assist patrons with using the Dump Station during high traffic times
  • Cover other Campground tasks as needed.

Requirements:
  • Must be comfortable working with human waste and other non-hazardous waste materials
  • Must be able to consistently lift 20-40lbs.

Part-time (30-40 hrs/week plus overtime opportunities) $15/hr
