2023 Texas Renaissance Festival Tickets Tickets On Sale Now

This is the 49th year of the Texas Renaissance Festival, the nation's largest Renaissance-themed event

(TODD MISSION, TX, April 17, 2023) - The Texas Renaissance Festival today announced that tickets for the 2023 season are on sale now, with additional ticket discounts available for advanced online purchases at TexRenfest.com. Located one hour north of Houston, the Texas Renaissance Festival is the nation's largest and most acclaimed festival of food, fun and Renaissance magic with more than half a million visitors each year. It takes place over eight themed weekends from October 7th through November 26th.

Transcend the Mundane: This year's festival will be creating even more immersive experiences for adults and children. With 21 stages, The King's Feast, jugglers, bards, acrobats, games, rides, restaurants, pub crawls and more than 400 shoppes and artisans, there is something for everyone.

Bring the Whole Family: To make it an affordable destination for families, children five and under will be free every Saturday and kids 12 and under will be free every Sunday of the eight-week festival.

Stay and Play: The Texas Renaissance festival is also introducing exciting new "Stay and Play" packages that offer a great value for patrons and families who stay for the weekend. These packages include:

  • Festival admission for both Saturday and Sunday
  • Weekend camping pass (Thursday to Monday) at the Fields of New Market
  • Access to special Fields of New Market events, including fun activities for kids at the Apprentice Gazebo

King's Call: Entertainers and Actors are Hereby Summoned to the Texas Renaissance Festival!

Auditions for the Festival's 49th season will be held on May 6 and May 13, 2023.

Todd Mission, TX - May 2nd, 2023 - Calling all actors, performers, and entertainers! The Texas Renaissance Festival, the nation's largest and most acclaimed Renaissance themed event, is seeking multi-talented and adaptable people to perform for the festival's eight themed weekends, running from October 7 through November 26, 2023. Auditions will be held on Saturday, May 6th and Saturday, May 13th in Todd Mission, Texas.

"Our entertainment department at the Texas Renaissance Festival is a huge part of what creates the wonderful, festive atmosphere here," says Jeffrey L. Baldwin, Entertainment Director for the Texas Renaissance Festival. "We are looking for people who have the right mix of personality and talent, with the ability to seamlessly provide a most unique experience for tens of thousands of visitors every weekend."

The Texas Renaissance Festival includes more than 4,000 actors, artists, and merchants throughout the nearly 55-acre park. Each year more than half a million visitors travel from all over the state - and across the country - to leave their cares behind and celebrate among the King's royal subjects. For its 49th season, this year's themed weekends will include: The Queen's Birthday (Opening Weekend), 1001 Dreams, Pirate Adventure, All Hallows Eve, Heroes and Villains, Barbarian Invasion, Highland Fling and Celtic Christmas.

Todd Mission, TX - May 16th, 2023 - The Texas Renaissance Festival (TRF), the nation's largest and most acclaimed Renaissance themed event, today announced the opening of wedding reservations for the 2023 season, which takes place over eight themed weekends from October 7 through November 26, 2023. With four beautiful wedding venues, three deluxe wedding packages and ministers/celebrants for any tradition - as well as on-site catering, entertainment, and professional wedding planners - TRF makes it easy and stress-free for couples to create the enchanting wedding of their dreams.

"The Texas Renaissance Festival is about leaving the ordinary world behind to experience the fun and magic of a bygone era, and we're bringing that to our TRF weddings as well," said Christina Garcia, Weddings Coordinator of the Texas Renaissance Festival. "The Royal Celebration wedding ceremony incorporates the unique Renaissance charm of a carriage procession, bagpipes, Royal Guard escort and sword arch. Todd Mission, Texas - August 3, 2023 - The Texas Renaissance Festival today announced that its opening weekend, October 7-8, 2023, will offer the lowest prices of the season - including discounted tickets for adults, free admission for children 12 and under, special vendor pricing and one-time-only giveaways for visitors - all in honor of the Queen's Birthday celebration. Tickets for the festival, which takes place over eight themed weekends from October 7 through November 26, are available now for advance online purchase.

With more than half a million visitors each year, the Texas Renaissance Festival (TRF) is the nation's largest and most acclaimed festival of food, fun and Renaissance magic. This year's opening weekend features first-ever special events in celebration of The Queen's Birthday, including:

Discounted Pricing: Tickets purchased in advance for opening weekend offer the lowest prices of the season, at just $17.00 for Saturday and $12.00 for Sunday. Kids 12 and under are free all weekend! And this year's festival will offer even more immersive experiences for adults and children.

Queen's Birthday Celebrations: Both Saturday and Sunday will feature special celebrations in honor of the Queen's birthday, including birthday parties, cake, live entertainment, dancing, scavenger hunts, fireworks, prizes, raffles and special deals on games and rides all weekend.

Vendor Specials: Vendors will offer discounted specialty drinks, food items, apparel and collectable swag in honor of her Royal Highness. And TRF's famous turkey legs will be half-price (while supplies last)!

The fun continues each themed weekend through November 26, with 21 stages, immersive experiences, jugglers, bards, acrobats, restaurants, pub crawls and more than 400 shoppes and artisans spread across the festival's 55-acre Renaissance village. The Texas Renaissance Festival, the nation's largest Renaissance-themed event, is now open for its 49th season.

Todd Mission, Texas - October 10, 2023 - The Texas Renaissance Festival (TRF) has officially opened its doors for the 49th season, welcoming people of all ages to come experience the magic of the nation's largest and most acclaimed festival of food, fun and immersive Renaissance experiences. Located one hour north of Houston, the Texas Renaissance Festival takes place over eight themed weekends running now through November 26th. Tickets are on sale at TexRenfest.com.

Entering the festival's 55-acre Renaissance village transports visitors to a fantasy world of jugglers, bards, acrobats, games, rides, restaurants, pub crawls and more than 400 shoppes and artisans. With 21 stages, The King's Feast, contests and themed celebrations each weekend, there is something for everyone. There's free admission for children five and under every Saturday and kids 12 and under every Sunday.

Themed Weekends:
More than 51,000 people attended the TRF's opening weekend celebration of The Queen's Birthday on October 7-8 - that's 33% higher attendance than last year's opening weekend and 43% higher than 2021. Forthcoming themed weekends include:

Oct. 14-15: 1001 Dreams

Fairies, elves and other fanciful creatures bring enchantment to the lanes of New Market Village. Visitors can show off their magical finery in the fantasy costume contest or test their endurance in the fiery dragon-wing eating contest. This is also a Deaf Awareness weekend featuring American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters for Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing patrons.

Oct. 21-22: Pirate Adventure

Patrons will party with the pirates, show off their best buccaneer frocks in the Best Dressed Pirate contest and stuff themselves to the gills at the Fish-N-Chips eating contest.

Oct. 28-29: All Hallows Eve

Ghouls and ghosts will scare up some serious fun as the Kingdom welcomes the Transylvanian court. With a Halloween costume contest and Kettle Korn eating contest, guests can win "spook-tacular" prizes.

Nov. 4-5: Heroes and Villains

History and fantasy expand beyond the Renaissance, as the mightiest heroes and heroines clash with the darkest of villains and vixens from history and legend. All alter egos are welcome in the Heroes and Villains costume contest and those with eating superpowers can accept the challenge of the gyro eating contest.

Nov. 11-12: Barbarian Invasion

Guests will join the Great Horde to feast, drink, and plunder their way through the village during this barbaric rumpus, with contests celebrating the worst dressed barbarian and the barbarian with the worst table manners in the turkey leg eating contest.

Nov. 18-19: Highland Fling

The pipes welcome all lads and lassies to a celebration of the joys of Scotland. Visitors will witness the thrill of the Highland games, show of their Scotish finery in the Bonnie Knees contest and see if they have the misneach (courage) to participate in the haggis eating contest. This is also a Deaf Awareness weekend featuring American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters for Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing patrons.

Nov. 24-26: Celtic Christmas

Father and Mother Christmas and the Christmas elves welcome children of all ages to TRF's final three-day celebration of the coming Yule-tide season. The Kingdom will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland, with holiday music and festivities, a costume context, a pumpkin pie eating contest and a chance to find the perfect gifts in more than 400 shoppes.

More than 200 acres of camping facilities offer a great value for patrons and families who spend the weekend. New Stay and Play packages that offer a great value for patrons and families who stay for the weekend. These packages include:

· Festival admission for both Saturday and Sunday

· Weekend camping pass (Thursday to Monday) at the Fields of New Market

· Access to special Fields of New Market events, including fun activities for kids at the Apprentice Gazebo

· Excitement for adults with admission to The Knight's Club after hours party (age 21+).

Texas Renaissance Festival Will Host Two Deaf Awareness Weekends

Deaf Awareness Weekends will take place during the Weekend of 1001 Dreams and Highland Fling Weekend, with ASL interpreters for dozens of shows and events at the festival.

Todd Mission, TX - October 10, 2023 - The Texas Renaissance Festival (TRF), the nation's largest and most acclaimed festival of food, fun and Renaissance magic, is pleased to announce that it will host two Deaf Awareness Weekends at this year's festival: October 14-15 for the Weekend of 1001 Dreams and November 18-19 for Highland Fling Weekend. These weekends will feature American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters dozens of shows and events taking place at the festival.

"It has been our honor to host Deaf Awareness events every year since 2015, to celebrate diversity and create more inclusive and accessible festival experiences for our Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing patrons," said Todd Wold, marketing director for the Texas Renaissance Festival.

The Texas Renaissance Festival expects to welcome more than half a million visitors to this year's event, which will take place over eight themed weekends from October 7 through November 26:

  • Oct. 7-8: Opening Weekend and The Queen's Birthday
  • Oct. 14-15: 1001 Dreams and Deaf Awareness
  • Oct. 21-22: Pirate Adventure
  • Oct. 28-29: All Hallows Eve
  • Nov. 4-5: Heroes and Villains
  • Nov. 11-12: Barbarian Invasion
  • Nov. 18-19: Highland Fling and Deaf Awareness and Deaf/Blind Events
  • Nov. 24-26: Celtic Christmas

Thanks to the all-volunteer ASLfairesTX, on any given day of the two Deaf Awareness Weekends, roughly 30 to 35 shows will be provided with interpreters. ASL events will be announced soon, so please follow ASLfairesTX on Facebook for details, volunteer opportunities and discount codes.

With 21 stages, immersive experiences, jugglers, bards, acrobats, restaurants, pub crawls and more than 400 shoppes and artisans spread across the festival's 55-acre Renaissance village, TRF offers fun for families and individuals of all ages.

In addition, TRF's camping facilities are happy to welcome Clan Eyeth, a Deaf Camping Clan and Clan Armadillo, a Deaf/Blind Camping Clan. These are open to all individuals who are Deaf, Deaf/Blind, use ASL or have relations or friendships with these communities. Whenever possible, some of the shows at the campground may also have accessibility provisions.

Camping: More than 200 acres of camping facilities offer a great value for patrons and families who spend the weekend, with Stay and Play packages that include both a camping pass for Thursday through Monday and festival admission for Saturday and Sunday.
