Campground Rules and FAQs

TRF is committed to providing a safe and fun environment for campground patrons of all ages and backgrounds. All patrons acknowledge upon entry that they have received these rules, will comply and understand the consequence of violation.

Campground Rules 

TRF is committed to providing a safe and fun environment for campground patrons of all ages and backgrounds. All patrons acknowledge upon entry that they have received these rules, will comply and understand the consequence of violation.

#1 RULE

Please be considerate of others. Disorderly conduct will not be tolerated.

CAMP PASS/WRISTBANDS

All persons in the campground shall be wearing a valid Camping wristband.

FESTIVAL TICKET

All Campground Patrons MUST have a valid Festival Ticket or Season Pass for at least one day of the camping weekend.

CAMPING GATES

Open from 8 a.m. Thursday to 12 p.m. Monday

Entrance gates are staffed 24 hours a day during open hours

Thanksgiving Weekend Hours

Open from 8 a.m. Wednesday to 12 p.m. Monday.

QUIET HOURS

Family Camping Area - 10 p.m. - 6 a.m.

Revel Camping Area - Midnight - 6 a.m.

No vehicle traffice after midnight.

FESTIVAL PARKING

Vehicles left in Festival General Parking after 2 a.m. are subject to towing at owner expense. Festival Parking within the campground is available on camping Rows 1, 2 and 3 near the Festival Entrance.

RESERVING AN AREA

Arriving early and reserving an area for other members of your group is not allowed. You cannot arrive early and rope off an area or otherwise reserve space for other campers who have not arrived yet. You may not refuse other campers from camping in open areas immediately adjacent to your individual campsite; it is first come first served. You may be removed from the campgrounds if you do so.

CONSTRUCTION / BOUNDARIES

All campsite improvements, including boundaries, decorations, or construction must be submitted in writing for approval prior to setup. The Campground Construction Request form is available for download at https://www.texrenfest.com/camping/campground-forms
You can also request this same form at the reservations office.
You cannot rope off your campsite without getting approval.

GROUNDS / TREES
No cutting, burning, decorating, or placing fasteners in them. No digging. No tree tents or hammocks. No collection or relocation of any natural or constructed TRF property.


CAMPFIRES
No ground fires allowed.
All fires must be kept enclosed in off the ground containers, such as above ground fire pits, BBQ pits, metal barrels, chimineas, or liquid fueled heating.
Do not dump coals, embers, ash, or any fire remains on the ground or in dumpsters. Ash bins for dumping coals, embers, ash, and fire remains are located next to dumpsters throughout the campground.


PETS

Pets are not permitted on the festival grounds or campgrounds; however, service animals are not considered pets by the federal government and are welcome at The Texas Renaissance Festival.

Under the American Disabilities Act (ADA), a service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person's disability.

ADA is also clear that emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals not considered service animals and are not permitted in the festival and campground.

Though we prefer that Service Dogs have proper identification (vest, documentation, etc.) when you bring them into the festival or campground gates, this is not required.

MINORS
Children 16 and under MUST be accompanied by a Parent or Legal Guardian.


PARKING & ROADWAYS

You may park on the field next to your camp spot set up. Vehicles, tents, and RVs must remain 10 feet from roadways. No vehicle traffic after midnight.


DISTRIBUTION OF CONSUMABLES
For the safety of everyone involved, do not distribute and/or accept food or drinks from anyone you do not know.


WASTE
All Campsites are required to be kept neat, clean, and free of debris -trash bins are located throughout the camp. Pack it in, pack it out.

STRICTLY PROHIBITED

Illegal Drugs, Alcohol Abuse, Open Bars, Sales without Campground Vendor Permit, Fireworks, Sky Lanterns, Lazer Pointers, Drones, Airborne RC Vehicles, Golf Carts, ATV's, UTV's, and Dirt Bikes are NOT Allowed.


WEAPONS
Firearms concealed or open carry are Strictly Prohibited / NOT ALLOWED!
Swords, Knives, Axes, Maces, any edged or pointed weapons MUST be Sheathed and Peace Tied at All Times, period-themed or otherwise.


VIOLATIONS
A violation of any rule or policy will result in removal from campground without refund from the property at the Management or Security Personnel's discretion. Management has final authority in all matters. TRF is privately owned and operated.

SECURITY

The Campground is always patrolled by Uniformed Law Enforcement and Security Officers. All Local, State, and Federal Laws Apply and are Enforced.

Campground FAQs

Where is the festival campground located? How much does it cost?

  • The Fields of New Market Campground located adjacent to the festival site.
  • 11282 County Road 302 Todd Mission, 77363.
  • You will need a camping pass and a festival ticket to enter campground. These can be purchased on TRF website or entrance gate of campground. (add link to ticket site)
  • If you book TRF Rental, 2 camping passes are included. Festival Tickets must be purchased separately.
  • Hours - Open each Festival weekend from 8 am Thursday until 12 pm Monday.
  • Thanksgiving Weekend - Open from 8 am Wednesday to 12 pm Monday.

What kind of camping facilities are available? Can we bring our RV?

The campground is dispersed camping, meaning if you bring your Tent or RV, you can place it anywhere. There are no assigned sites for General Camping. If you would like to upgrade your stay, we have water and electric hookup sites for rent as well as dry RV sites, cabins, RV rentals, and glamping tents over at www.campspot.com/book/texrenfest

What is the campground like?

  • The Fields of New Market Campground is 230 acres of dispersed camping. Meaning there are no campsites. You can bring a your own Tent, RV/Trailer and set up your campsite anywhere 10 feet from the road ways. It is first come, first serve.
  • Camping Season Pass Holders can have roped areas and leave campsite set up for the entire season.
  • Everyone is welcome we have designated areas for Family Camping.
  • There will be food trucks and vendors look at campground map for locations.
  • Bonfires will be starting at dusk on Friday and Saturday nights.
  • Porta- privy's are located throughout the campground. Restrooms and Shower House are located near campground entrance.

Are there any hotel accommodations nearby?

There are many hotels located within a 20-30 minute driving distance to the Festival. The accommodations range from full service hotels to mid-range and economy hotels. Many offer special festival rates and some have shuttle service to and from the festival. For a complete list of preferred hotels, go to the Lodgings page of our website.
